How to warm up a Facebook account before posting in groups

Facebook looks at who's posting, not just what. Picture an account that's five days old, has no photo and three friends, and joins 20 groups in an hour to post the same ad everywhere. To Facebook that's a spammer, even if the ad itself is fine. Warming up gives an account a history, so it looks like a real person.

Why new accounts get blocked first

An account with a history has some trust built up: real friends, months of scrolling, comments, likes. A new account has none of that. The same goes for an account that's two years old but went quiet for six months. Age only helps if the account has been used recently.

A four-week plan

  • Right at the start. Fill out the profile: photo, cover, a line or two about yourself, and two or three personal posts. An empty profile is a dead giveaway.
  • Week 1. Just use Facebook: scroll the feed, watch videos, like things, comment now and then. Add a few friends who'll actually accept, not a hundred in one evening. Don't join any groups yet.
  • Week 2. Join 3–4 relevant groups, not all on the same day. Read them first, like a few posts, leave a real comment. A few posts a day at most, all different and with photos.
  • Week 3. If there were no warnings, join a few more groups and post 5–10 times a day.
  • Week 4. Slowly work up to the volume you want. For how much is safe, see posting limits.

Life outside Facebook

Real people don't only visit facebook.com. They read the news, shop online and browse all kinds of sites, and a huge number of those sites have the Meta pixel on them. A browser with no history except Facebook looks odd. That's why it helps to browse ordinary sites during warm-up too.

How to tell the account is ready

  • The profile is complete and it has real friends.
  • It has liked, commented on and watched things.
  • It's a member of the groups you plan to post to, and has been at least a little active there.
  • It has posted a little for a week or two with no warnings.

Mistakes that undo the warm-up

  • Posting on day one.
  • Joining 20–30 groups at once.
  • Posting the same text everywhere once you start scaling up.
  • Jumping from 5 posts a day straight to 80.
  • Trying again right after a warning.
  • Waking up a dormant account and running it at full speed.
Warming up builds trust, and careless posting burns through it fast. Even a well-warmed account gets flagged if it drops the same text into 50 groups in ten minutes.

How Postyfy warms up accounts

  • Feed. Scrolls, reads, likes, checks notifications and messages. If you allow it, it also adds friends and joins groups.
  • Video. Watches Reels and longer videos, so the account picks up interests and Facebook figures out what to show it.
  • Cookies. Browses ordinary sites from a list for your region to build up browser history, without opening Facebook at all.
  • Group warm-up. Warms up all your accounts in one run, with pauses between them. You can also have an account scroll the feed before every posting session. Setup is in step 05 of the tutorial.

Let Postyfy do the repetitive part

Warm-up, spintax, AI rewrites, pauses between groups and one schedule for all your accounts. Set it up once, then just check the report.
